Here Comes The Sun...
Jul. 4th, 2009 07:36 pmWe had sunlight, actual sunlight, both yesterday and today. Not a few filtered minutes, but hours of warmth and light and goodness. I saw bees buzzing, meaning my poor over-sexed tomato plants may actually get pollinated. I had to put sunscreen on my youngest. I got to spend substantial time outside two days in a row!!!
This wettest spring on record has been really hard on the corn crops, the sun tans, and the psyches. Moss is growing very well, as are my tomato plants--if you discount the delay in flowers turning to tomatoes. No knowing what next week will bring, but I am incredibly grateful for this.
