Fatal Flaw
Dec. 2nd, 2008 09:00 pmIf I have a fatal flaw (and don't we all?) it is pride.
I'm ambitious, but that's bounded. Same for selfishness, laziness, gluttony, lust...all those lovely qualities are easily trumped by my love for others. But pride...ut-oh.
Last night, I took an IQ test on-line because my husband and 9 year old had enjoyed it, and it really was a great test. I enjoyed it right up 'til the point my black kitten hit <finish> while I still had 5 minutes and 9 questions to go.
Now, a rational person would shrug and go to bed. But I was <livid> that there was a computer site that thought I was...well...average.
So I found another site, took another test, proved I wasn't average to some imaginary audience (i.e. me), and THEN went to bed.
Admittedly, alpha bitches in general aren't great at humility, but I know what spiritual areas I need to work on....
