In which Life continues to up the ante....

Screw discretion.

Charles was admitted to the hospital tonight with severe pneumonia, hypoxemia, and electrolyte imbalances. If I'd waited until morning to bring him into the ER, he very well might have died. And I dragged him into the ER tonight, not so much because he told me he thought he was dying, but because we have a date to see Star Trek tomorrow, and I wanted to make sure he'd be well enough to go.

Mental Note: If spouse says he thinks he's dying, take him to ER immediately.

Prayers would be welcome.

You and yours are amazing. I begin to wonder if something evil is disturbed at you becoming more proactive in your life. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. I also have faith in you.

Yeah, some variants of red are not subtle.

Lately I've been finding parallels with a lot of folks who seem to be in times of transition. Where after years of living one way, we are awakening in some way(s) to find we are discovering our worth, and capable of having what we need and even want by making some deliberate changes.

Whether you change employers or not, you are making positive changes for good for yourself and others. You know things will be different if you go; and it seems they will also change out of necessity if you stay where you are. You will be loved and valued regardless. Whether one believes in a battle of good vs evil or not, when someone like you makes forward strides and is suddenly beset from many sides it seems more than random coincidence.

You are strong, capable, and stubborn. You're a mom, and you'll get through this.

Okay, I have to laugh hysterically at this:

And I dragged him into the ER tonight, not so much because he told me he thought he was dying, but because we have a date to see Star Trek tomorrow, and I wanted to make sure he'd be well enough to go.

Spoken like a true fan!

But on a more serious note--I am very relieved that he's getting better now and is on lots of antibiotics. I will be keeping him in my prayers.

*Hugs*
